The short version
LiftCodex sets no cookies at all. We use no tracking cookies, no advertising cookies, and no third party cookies. What we do use is localStorage, a browser feature that saves small preferences on your own device. It is never transmitted to us, and we cannot read it remotely.
Cookies vs. localStorage
Cookies are sent to a server with every request, which is what makes them useful for tracking people across sites. localStorage is different: it stays in your browser and is only read by scripts running on the page you are looking at. Nothing in the list below ever leaves your device.
We still ask for your consent because privacy law (including the EU ePrivacy Directive) covers any storage on your device, not just cookies.

Essential items are required for the site to respect your own choices. Functional items only exist to save you effort. Declining keeps the functional items switched off. The site works either way: you will just re-enter preferences more often.
Analytics
If we add analytics, it will be a cookieless, privacy-respecting provider that records aggregate page views without profiling individuals. No personally identifiable information is collected. We will update this page before any such change goes live.
Third parties
The only third party that receives data from LiftCodex is Formspree, and only when you deliberately submit the email or quiz form. Formspree does not set cookies on this site. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail.
Manage your preferences
